Cassidy Turbin is a 5x Grammy Award-winning audio engineer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist based in Los Angeles. Known for his calm efficiency and dedication to sonic originality, Cassidy blends technical mastery with a love for real instruments and organic textures..
A Los Angeles native, Cassidy began his musical journey behind a drum kit at age 12 and quickly became immersed in the city’s vibrant music scene. Out of necessity, he taught himself engineering to record the projects he was part of—eventually landing a multi-year role with artist Beck that became a masterclass in production and audio engineering. His work on Morning Phase and Colors earned back-to-back Grammy Awards for Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical.
Cassidy’s genre-spanning credits include recording sessions with Keyon Harrold, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Childish Gambino, Dwight Yoakam, and Mixing GASHI’s Brooklyn Cowbboy LP. He’s produced a few songs for Paige Stark alongside Jon Brion, Craig Stickland’s Lost in the Rewind EP and served as the sole audio engineer for Storefront Church, whose music has appeared in Netflix series The Queen’s Gambit, Godless, and Monsieur Spade.
With over two decades behind the drum kit, Cassidy brings his rhythmic versatility to a wide range of artists, recording for Lewis Capaldi, Miya Folick, and Bishop Briggs, and taking the stage with Michelle Branch and hip-hop icon MC Lyte.
Most recently, he recorded drums for Born Again by Lisa featuring Doja Cat and RAYE, Teddy Swims’ Goodbye’s Been Good to You, and EKKSTACY’s FOREVER LP, through his ongoing collaboration with producer Andrew Wells. When not in the studio, Cassidy enjoys carpentry, gardening, and turning homegrown vegetables into salsa—often with his dog Stevie Wonder by his side.
